There are 50 states in the U.S. and each has a unique feel, a native dish, beer, and scenery … the list could go on forever.
All of the distinctions makes traveling to them and learning about the fun. And in the spirit of Halloween, it’s interesting to tally up what candies are popular in each state and why.
According to Influenster, “We polled 23,154 Americans asking them what their favorite candy was out of a list of 52 top-rated Halloween candies from Influenster’s reviews platform.”
“Our approach in 2017 was to reflect how many more people of one state chose a particular candy over those in other states.”

Do you have any theories as to why a particular candy is popular?
Why are Almond Joys the preferred choice for Californians? Or, Snickers for Floridians? Is the climate that influences their tastebuds?
Or, is it the scenery that implores more people to choose nutty, chocolate candy over fruity flavored candy? Whatever the case may be, it’s interesting to see the most popular Halloween candy in every state.
