Book lovers, rejoice. China just opened an incredibly massive library with 1.2 million books in Binhai’s Cultural District in Tianjin. Not only are the number of books it houses impressive, but the interior is guaranteed to blow your mind.
The grand library is five stories and took three years to complete. Dutch Design firm MVRD together with the Tianjin Urban Planning and Design Institute (TUPDI) designed the libary which features lounges, reading areas, conference rooms, computer and audio rooms, and stunning architecture.
Access to information is now at your fingertips thanks to the internet, but nothing compares to spending time in an old-fashioned library especially one like this.
